Becky Chaisson named a Fellow CPA!

 

The Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) designation is granted to members who have rendered exceptional service to the profession, or whose achievements in their careers, the community or in the profession have earned them distinction and brought honour to the profession.

The Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island is pleased to recognize the contributions to the profession and career of Becky Chaisson, FCPA, CMA.

Over the course of her career, Becky has dedicated countless hours to the advancement of the profession in this province. Becky served from 2008-2015 as a member of the Board of the Society of Management Accountants of Prince Edward Island, and assisted that organization through unification. She continued to serve the profession as a member of the Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island until 2019, when she moved into the role of Board Chair for 3 years, then served for a year as past chair.

Over this 15 year period, Becky also served on other provincial and national committees, including 3 years on the Atlantic Regional Forum Regional Committee, and nationally, she dedicated 5 years serving on the Council of Chairs, and 3 years serving on the Collaboration Accord Review Task Force, working on a governance solution for the profession.

Becky is the Chief Operating Officer of Cox & Palmer. Prior to taking on her current role with Cox & Palmer, Becky spent twelve years with the Public Schools Branch in various financial leadership roles, the last 5 years as the Director of Corporate Services.
