Immediate need for CVITP volunteers
Help those in need file their taxes and get their benefits!
Last year, the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) helped Islanders receive $12,210,000 in tax refunds, credit and benefit entitlements. Thank you for making a difference!
Yet, some credits and benefits were left behind.
We want to change that.
For at-need community members who require assistance completing their returns, the CVITP can help. This free program is a collaboration between the Canada Revenue Agency, community organizations and their volunteers to help those in need file taxes and access credits and benefits, like the monthly Canada child benefit tax-free payment. That’s money in their pockets!
We’re hoping that we can count on your support again this year. We’ve identified a general province-wide need for volunteers with an immediate need in Montague, Alberton, Tignish, Evangeline and O’Leary. There is also a need for French-speaking volunteers province-wide, particularly in Charlottetown and Summerside.
Volunteer today to make a difference in the lives of those in need in your community. How often you volunteer is up to you!
